Mini-Mods
Built: 1966-67
Client: Oceanic Properties
Architect: Joseph Esherick
The prototype for the Mini-Mod I was created in 1967 as a model house. Commissioned by Oceanic Properties, they were designed by Joseph Esherick as part of a series of homes that could be reproduced anywhere at The Sea Ranch. William Turnbull's Binker Barns were also part of this commission. Esherick chose the name Mini-Mods because it sounded "jazzier."
